Culture Night 2018

September 14th 2018 Culture Night Logo

Create your own Culture Night trail to a choice of 280 venues with over 500 free events on Friday 21st September.

Why not start your Culture Night with a sample of the cultural offer around Parnell Square?

Dublin City Gallery is one of Dublin’s finest galleries in the heart of the historic north city centre. Check out a night of music, film screenings, art workshops, quick tours, and much more.

Neighbours to the Gallery, the Irish Writers Centre and the Dublin Writers Museum both offer the visitor a celebration of Irish writing. Club na Múinteoirí / The Teachers Club on the west side of Parnell Square hosts Time to Reflect, a selection of songs from baritone David Scott and pianist David O’Shea, as well as ‘Macbeth – Behind the Scenes’ at Theatre@36. CREATE@Rotunda Hospital is a free art exhibition in the historic front hall of Dublin’s first maternity hospital to the south of the Square.

Stop off to the east of the Square for Poetry Therapy at Poetry Ireland or for an evening of poetry and music at the refurbished Old Music Shop on North Frederick Street. Visit the Gate Theatre Bar for a public discussion with Anu Productions about their residency at the Gate. Experience one of Ireland’s greatest modern writers at the nearby James Joyce Centre or enjoy a night of live music and art at the Olivier Cornet Gallery.

West of Parnell Square, 14 Henrietta Street celebrates its first Culture Night with taster tours of the newly opened museum. Discover the joy of the uilleann pipes at Na Píobairí Uilleann just nearby.

Culture is catching. Catch some great experiences at Culture Night this year!
